Alisha Chowdhury is the CEO and cofounder of Mongo, a financial education platform that is on a mission to help students with all things related to money! Alisha was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, by immigrant parents from Bangladesh. Growing up, she had limited access to financial education and guidance due to a lack of resources in public schools in Louisiana and her parents’ limited knowledge. It wasn’t until she studied at the University of Pennsylvania that she participated in a nonprofit program called Girls Who Invest, where she learned about personal finances and her earnings potential. Alisha spent the first five years of her career as an investor in the financial services sector, working at Vanguard, Fidelity, and Wafra. She is currently an MBA candidate and scholarship recipient at the London Business School. Alisha is on a mission to revolutionize the way young people think and learn about money and wants to ensure all students have access to equal resources as they navigate the challenges of money in their adult lives.
